News and Impact of September & October 2022

We are pleased to announce to you that we are launching a monthly newsletter from now on. A simple and interactive content that we hope will bring you into our world. 

If you receive this update, it means that you are passionate about quality digital training & education, skills development, youth empowerment, and sustainability in underrepresented communities around the world. Just like us. 

We may be a bit technical at times, but we are keen to let you know how our technology, our mobile app and web platform, O-lab app, is developing. As Origin Learning Fund and O-lab app, we will also talk about the social impact we are creating together with our partners worldwide.

O-lab: From Colombia to Nigeria

Origin Learning Fund became an international reality during the pandemic. The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation believed in the scalability of our methodology and customizable technology, O-lab-app, in Africa, Nigeria. Thanks to our 3 on the ground partners Wadi Ben-Hirki Foundation, TechHer, Oakbridge Foundation in the past two months we have achieved the main objectives of:

  • Provide 1800 vulnerable youth with access to quality digital education 
  • Distributed 20 tablets across a network of 12 schools in Abuja, Enugu, and Kaduna
  • Trained 20 teachers & social leaders
  • Digitized on our platform O-lab 5 curriculum in Leadership Development, Environmental Responsibility, Digital Literacy, Science, Peace Building

On the International Day of the Girl, October 11, we launch the #GetHerThere campaign joining the Girl Opportunity Alliance promoted by the Obama Foundation.

Support us in providing 500 indigenous and migrant girls from La Guajira, Colombia, with access to digital STEAM education and the resources to develop social entrepreneurship community projects!
